Sad. I liked him. My daughter still has a laminated picture of him signed to her. He made an appearance at Ed's Pawn Shop in Stockbridge (local Glock dealer) & I took her &our nephew up to meet him & get an autograph when she was about 3.

How SAD and what a shame. As In a statement posted on Twitter, Bill Rogin said Ermey had died due to complications from pneumonia.stated he was way to young.
Everything he did on and off screen was FANTASTIC.
RIP Gunny and go kick arsh in the hear after

How in the hell can this happen in this day and time???????????

I just saw. What a disappointment. I really liked that old Jar Head. Semper Fi, Gunny, your tour is done. Ran into him a couple of times in Las Vegas. He was representing for Glock, it seems like. He was well loved. The line to get his autograph was huge.

I believe that Gunny would appreciate it if all of us go out and discharge a big bore firearm in his honor

His boot camp lecture on marksmanship in FMJ movie was great and I loved his Mail Call show, he certainly had fun doing it.
I shook hands with him at NRA show in KC a few years ago, and watched him shoot a Garand at Whittington Center. He did know how to shoot a Garand and 03 Springfield both very good.
Carry On Semper Fi

I too was fortunate to have met the Gunny a few times. He once gave me one of his Glock Challenge coins. And at the SHOT Show,,, the line to meet him was always long. He always was very patient, friendly, and welcoming to all. Truly a GREAT guy! I'm gonna miss seeing him.
He's done many movies,, and yet,,, he was always a Marine. RIP Gunny!

HI,

It's hard to put some feelings into words, impossible with others. This is one of those impossible times. Thank you, Gunny, for all the ways you made us smile, made us proud, taught us things... Somewhere there's a watermelon waiting for you to blast it before going on to whatever is next for you. RIP, old friend.

Damn shame..

Gunny was a hell of a man.. A Great American Patriot..

He will be missed by many.. For being the man he was in life.. And what he stood for..

RIP Gunny. Came to Knob Creek years ago and done an episode of Mail Call on the machine gun shoot. I didn't get to meet him, but everyone that did meet him said he was just a regular fella. He was one of the good guys.

Oh man! I feel like I've lost a respected and trusted uncle. One of the few (VERY few) actors I have felt that way about.
His passing will leave a void not likely to be filled.
Rest In Peace, Gunny.
