only got cell phone calls from people you had given you number to? Now I've got politicians, scam calls, sales calls, etc., etc. I don't answer any I don't recognize the number. If they leave a message and I need to, I call back.

It is more than annoying. It’s an invasion of privacy. I used to just not answer mobile (mu only phone) calls from numbers ai did not recognize. Then I found out that on my iPhone I can se the phone to answer call from people in my Contacts. All other calls go straight to voice mail, and I don’t even hear a ring. I figure if one of those calls is important the caller will leave a message. For efficiency I updated my Contacts file to delete some and add others. Finally phone peace.

And you can’t block them, because they have so many different numbers they text you from.

The spam callers use numbers NOT in active service if you call the number back THAT is what you discover. PAST TIME for the Feds* to take control and end this spam avalanche !

* much as I hate Fed government involvement THIS is something they could and should handle and The "DO NOT CALL" list is a dead thing.

I might get one BS call every two weeks. Guess I am fortunate. If I don't recognize the number I don't answer it. They can leave me a text or voicemail. If important I will reply; if not then the 'delete' feature is activated.

Sometimes I love screwing with these people I make up all kinds of numbers and give them.
