The thread on favorite movies caused me to recall a TV series called the "The Big Picture" was MSgt Queen as the host. Anyone else remember it?

And speaking about TV how about the Lionel Trains TV commercials at Christmas? Another Christmas TV program what was very, very well received The Rheingold Theater "Silent Night--The story of the Original Christmas Carol."

I was just a small kid in the late 60's when they first run the "Big Picture ",so dont remember them. I assume dad never watched it .but I found these on You tube a few years ago ,and enjoy watching them now

The Big Picture...No. Since it began in 1951 perhaps only played back east? ...but until 1964?
I don't remember any specific shows from Rheingold Theater, but the commercials...

I have the complete Victory at Sea series on DVD. It was a Christmas present years ago. Great watching without commercials. The Big Picture is on Sling regularly.

We didn't get tv until I was 12. Every afternoon there was the Slim Hayes show. It would be an hour of cartoons and then a Western movie would follow.
