So common, I've never seen one at a local gun shop., new or used.

They definitely do. I've not shot one but I've seen a few. Still wouldn't call them common. And I think the MC2SC model sounds familiar.

Just about anything to do with guns on TV is a joke... one of my favorite shows for years is just one example... NCIS ... when ever a gun was found at a crime scene it would take Abby about two minutes on her computer to find who the gun was registered to.

I fired the MC1SC......MEH....garbage. Not much better than a SCCY. Mossberg needs to stick to shotguns....and not the Turkish line either....or the ones with Mexican parts.

I never knew that movie got turned into a series, hmmm. But, I'd prefer the .22 caliber Colt Woodsman pistol that Louis stole from Mickey's home...
Had one and foolishly traded it for something newer, dummy me.....

Well, they made a beautiful little single shot .22 Short /Long / Long rifle - the Model 10. Mine is a '34 and is still fun to shoot. An inexpensive "hardware store gun" that nevertheless was built to last.

Actually, here silver bullets for hunting are legal. Lead isn't.

My next-door neighbor is a metalsmith who regularly casts gold and silver jewelry. I should have him pour me a silver bullet. A 500 grain .45-70 slug? Probably not at today's silver prices. Maybe a 55 grain .22? How would a silver .44 or .45 bullet perform? Too hard?

Aside from the vintage military "trainer" type RF rifles and a few other vintage stuff Mossberg wasn't much until the 500 came about in the early 60's and elevated their customer base with more affordable shotgun lines. But like many other manufacturers they fell into the modern modular world, cheap plastic fantastic handguns, and the trend of branding Turkish products with their name.......Oscar and his boys must be repeatedly rolling over in their graves.

It is so popular they just announced they are discontinuing a gun which i, too, have never seen.
I bet the scriptwriter was looking for local colour and the guy on the other side of the counter pumped him up hoping for a sale.
