Anyone know were to get a cylinder or ejector for a redhawk in 45 Colt ? I milled a little to deep for the moon clip and getting unreliable ignition with 45 acp.
Thanks

I'm using standard steel clips from Revolver Supply Co. They Are .040" thick

Just a thought, but here goes nothing. The rimz poly moon clips are made with a flat side and a side with a countersinc for the case head to sit in. Maybe try the rimz but load them the opposite way, with the case head sitting on the flat side and not countersunk. That may be high enough (without being too high?) to get your reliable ignition back. If it blows up, I'll never own up to having said any of this

were you at the Maumee Valley gun show? someone asked us as to a 45 cal redhawk cylinder, and the guy behind me, makes moon clips for many of the gun companies, and possibly can come up with a thicker version?? he is from the Detroit,MI area if I recall .................

My gunsmith is going to try using some shim stock. I'll let you no how it turns out.
Thanks for your replies.
