red label

Old one with fixed chokes, more recent with shorter tubes, or most recent with Briley tubes?

26" or 28" barrels, or the Sporting clays model with 30" barrels?

Pistol grip stock or English stock?

Condition?

Could be anywhere from $500 to $1200.... some are asking way more than that, but they're still asking, 'cause it ain't sold.

At a live gun auction I regularly attend that would sell for no less than 800 + 15% buyer's premium. I've never seen one go for less, most go for more

Just curious, what is the point of going to a live auction, if the guns are selling so high? Are there bargains to be had? Just hope that you are the only one who wants it? Sounds like fun, if there was one around me, I would go just to people watch if nothing else. Ed

You just never know. I picked up a prototype Ruger #3 at a live auction and Ruger serial # 3 SN 9, both well below value as nobody recognized what they were. I would say my finds are unusual but there are always undervalued guns or rare gun if you know your stuff. You see guns you'll never seen again or at least not often

I've not been to an auction for quite a few years. When "Auction Fever" takes hold, all common sense flies out the window. I might go again one of these days just for the entertainment value.
