I sure hope not...I got bills to payWonder if they’re a different design. The originals are listed on Rugers site as something they no longer service or have parts for.
And maybe this will bring down the prices of the originals to an affordable level for us common folks. Geez, the collectors gonna hate that.
It is simple to delete the auto safetyI hope I’m wrong but with the quality control I’ve seen on the past 4 new Ruger firearms, a Red Label is going to be a train wreck for the company. Though the Red Label isn’t a high end shotgun it is expected to be one of the best at that price. I sure hope they get it right and don’t make a bunch of changes. Only thing I would like to see is the auto safety go the way of the wooly mammoth. Other than that feature I love my Red Labels.
I know, done all of mine, but if you are a collector you wouldn’t want to do that I’d imagine it would detract value. Personally would just not have an auto safety rather than have to cut itIt is simple to delete the auto safety
really very similar to the revolver safety upgrade. keep the parts and it can be returned to original.I know, done all of mine, but if you are a collector you wouldn’t want to do that I’d imagine it would detract value. Personally would just not have an auto safety rather than have to cut it

Wasn't this an option from the factory in the early days of the Red Label? If so, then I do not seeing it detract from value.I know, done all of mine, but if you are a collector you wouldn’t want to do that I’d imagine it would detract value. I almost bought the 28 ga back when they first came out. I settled on the 20 as being more versatile. This is my plain Jane Red Label. I was pretty impressed with the wood on it!I'm happy to see it, though I doubt I'll ever own one. Maybe if they reintroduce their small frame 28ga.
Yep, that one's got some fine lumber on it!I almost bought the 28 ga back when they first came out. I settled on the 20 as being more versatile. This is my plain Jane Red Label. I was pretty impressed with the wood on it!
I tried, but couldn't find anything specific to Shotguns. Lots of stuff on AR's, ElectroMagnetic Safeties, etc. but no shotties.Maneuver on the U.S. Patent and Trademark website and you will see the Ruger designs.
I was considering a Franchi Affinity 3 Trap until I found out the gun store I won the gift cert to wasn't a dealer, the Brownings and Benellis cost too much, and the Stoeger I handled looked like a $450 toy..,.so I got a used Remington 1100 Trap (oddly with a 30" fixed mod barrel).Wouldn't surprise me if the new Red Label is a different design. The Browning guy that Ruger hired several years ago has been working on a pair of different designs, one a slide action and the other an auto. One of the receivers kind of reminds me of a Franchi but it has Ruger "American" styling.

I would be surprised if the design wasn’t changed to accommodate for new manufacturing processes that were not available at the time of the original. I doubt that collectors of the original guns will have much to complain about. Have a look at the reintroduction of the Colt revolvers. High prices have held firm and even higher in some cases.Wonder if they’re a different design. The originals are listed on Rugers site as something they no longer service or have parts for.

It was a "walnut" Condor over/under. It looked like metal was painted (similar to one of those Heritage single action 22s) instead of blued and the "walnut" stock had heavy satin coating that made the wood look plastic. The action was very stiff, so much so I had trouble operating the hinge.Don't sleep on Stoeger.
