A neighbor is selling some of his late father's guns to raise $$ for his mother. One of the guns that I may be interested in is a 12 gauge Red Label. I definitely don't want to "low ball" him, in fact, to help his family, paying full price is OK. The shotgun looks brand new, and they even have the box. The serial number is 410-195XX. It is a stainless receiver model. It has a nicely figured stock and a reddish colored recoil pad. I forgot to measure the barrel length, but would guess 26 or 28 inches. It has, in the box, some metal strips that we think fit in between the barrels, but we can't figure out how to install them.:( It has fixed chokes.

What would be a fair price to offer for this gun and any help on how to install the metal strips would be appreciated. If there is any other information needed, let me know, and I will try to find out the barrel length. Thanks, in advance, for any help.

Pull the forearm and you will see, on each side between the barrels, a little "block" held in by screws. Remove the block, and insert the small end of the filler in the little pocket at the front of the barrels. Replace the block, which holds the rear of the filler in place.

Thanks for the instructions.
