Depends on how the receiving person sets it up.
As mentioned above, the auto reply will answer every E-mail it receives.
That can become an issue if it is spam and has an invalid source address.
(goes into a loop . . sends reply, which generates an invalid address
reply, which generates another reply, etc.)
If the processing of the incoming E-mail is done on your system, the
E-mail processor considers it a completed send/receive and does
nothing further.
Junk filters hold the incoming mail for two to four weeks so you can
review the "junk", in case you have your filter set too tight, and need
to adjust it.
Like virtually everything else in software, the real answer is . . . . . .
