Had put back just more than enough money for a new pair of stag grips. Time to light the pilot lights again, so Nita said.

Hall furnace needs to be replaced.

Maybe next year?

Nita would very quickly tell me that the furnace warms me, too!

I don't mess with her stove and pots and pans, but I eat (very well, too) the product of those things!

Comedian Mitch Hedburg had a joke where he was complaining about his sister. He said his sister was so normal, she had a good job, and a good husband with two good kids. He says he used to tell her all the time, "She needs to get her priorities crooked."

Bob, it sounds like you need to get your priorities crooked. :D

Many years ago, the head of my engineering department called me a "Straight Arrow."

Priorities are required. My Dad taught me well and I hope to teach my kids too. Not sure what happen with my siblings.

Everyone has a slip up from time to time though. That one gun you will never find again and would kick yourself for not buying. Check your safes, one of those is probably in there.

Other side of the coin, Check your safes again and you probably have two you should have left at the store. HAHA

Did that. None found that should have been left behind.

Hi Bob,
Are you looking at replacing a gas or LP furnace that goes against a wall or a floor furnace? Empire makes a good floor furnace for both gas and LP. If you are going to use a Wall furnace I would get a Rinnai, made in Japan but with a 10 year warranty and I have never seen one fail. Empire makes a nice wall furnace to but the warranty is shorter. Just some advice from a guy that sells them.
Good Luck,

The furnace is a floor furnace by Empire. Was installed this morning. this after having one replaced last March in living room. As to gas, we have natural gas supplied by the city.

We have gas heat, water heater, and cook stove. So when power is out, we can still keep warm and cook.

Bob, check with your contractor, gas company, and state utilities commission. There are many rebate programs availible for replacing old heating equipment with newer stuff. I got a $1500 rebate for replacing my boiler last year, I don't know what they have in your state but it might pay for your grips. Also if you are of retirement age you might be eligible for more. Best of luck,
Cape Cod Terry :D
