Now if I put Piranha in my pond, (Post are supposed to be on good taste but i never tasted one) I need to find a way to get intruders in the pond. Would a family of skunks by the front gate work?

I'd say just put signage up but then you really need a 'universal' sign not one in English.

edit: just thought about that... if you just put a sign up in English that warned of Piranha in the pond and some burglar/thief fell in that could not read English or any other language I guess they could sue you. And probably win if you live in California or Florida.

Depends on where in Florida. Some counties are very good so not so much.

It will cost you too much in feeder fish to keep them alive between intruders. If they go a couple days between feedings, they will cannibalize each other. Having a tank with a couple piranha means having two tanks and going to the store every week to buy more goldfish to restock the second tank. With a pond, you're talking two ponds and a lot more goldfish.

High joule output electric fencer will discourage most pilferers.
