P Series Guide Books

I have the three Iowegan Guides. I really find them useful. I was wondering if there is anything like that out there for the P series guns. Or maybe even a good reference on them. The Ruger Pistols and Revolvers is OK, but not really the same kind of book.

Checked it out from the library instead of buying it though. Wasn't super great but still some good info.

I think I read where the Iowegian said there wasn't much you could do to the P-series so he never made a guide for them.
But I would be very interested in the original Iowegian guides if they were ever made available again. Do you think they will ever be available again? I didn't have Ruger revolvers then but I do now and I didn't know they would not be available again.

That book isn't (IMHO, YMMV) terribly useful. The author had to really, really dig to find things to say.

Yeah. I agree. I saw on ebay a long time ago an armorers manual but it was out of my price range. I still look for one but it seems it has been too long from the old P85 to now. I have asked here too if anyone has one to share and no reply to date. Probably some sitting in a drawer someplace just wasting away.

I had that book when it came out. It was interesting, but a bit shallow. Frankly the most detailed information in the public domain on the P series Rugers is likely to be found by culling both this and the http://www.rugerforum.net forums. Pay particular attention to any posts by Coffee Pot and T.A. Workman, among others that you'll quickly figure out who are knowledgeable/credible P-Series afficianados.
