I just wanted to let anyone here know that there is a small bit of parts available for the P series guns on Gunbroker. There seems to be a few sellers with parts kits from decommissioned P guns that sell the part kits. I always see posts about eBay items, but sometimes the Gunbroker search has produced a better purchasing selection for me.

I do a search for "P95" (in my case) and then go over to the first category item (top left of screen) of "gun parts" and click on that: the last link should be for "parts kits".....and this should work for any of the P series when you want. Be warned, you will have the standard of bidding against others, and just remember that you are buying a whole kit.....so the prices are not dirt cheap, but the parts are there if you have patience.

Hopefully this link works. This is from my search for P95 parts kits, when I click the "parts kits" link:

Several years back I bought some 'parts kits' for the P-series. Turned out the seller was a prosecuting attorney's office in some east coast city. The parts were from confiscated handguns that were 'destroyed'(maybe just the frame) and the PA's office was selling the other parts. I ended up with enough parts to completely rebuild a P89( + do it again if needed) and have spare barrels for a couple of P95's.

That is not surprising, Mobuck. I believe a lot of "parts kits" tend to come from confiscation weapons. In fact, the blued P95 that I own is from a law enforcement agency, and resold by a dealer on gunbroker. I made the phone call to the dealer, and they could not tell me if it was a confiscation item, or a duty weapon of some sort, but it had seen a lot of misuse....mostly cleaning neglect. The parts kits are just from places that would rather "destroy" a firearm, but still get some return from it....IMHO.

My experience with the parts kits on gunbroker have been that, yes, I pay a bit more for the parts that I want, BUT.....I am getting everything that should be needed in the future for my '95's.

In fact, I paid only $22 more for a whole parts kit: slide, barrel, recoil rod/spring, and all the small frame parts; than I would have paid for just the recoil assembly (the ones I found on ebay). This is before shipping, and that is something you most likely cannot get away from, in most cases. Patience is the key when bidding......
