P Series at LGS

P series are an acquired taste......the typical younger crowd will balk when they see them......folks like me, who recall feverishly waiting in 1986 on the P85 to hit shelves after the magazine ad made us drool month after month.....we will take the P series home. I actually make it a point to look for them. I am hoping to come across a nice P89 and P90.

Part of me says $350 is on the high end but …. They are NIB so …… if a newer collector or one on a budget is looking to get a start; there's their chance.

I had a number of P guns and all worked very well.

I bought a P89DC when they hit the shelves. It has operated flawlessly and it has a few thousand rounds through it by now. I honestly don't ever remember a stovepipe or a jam. Easy takedown also.

When I bought my P97 decades ago it was because I wanted a 45acp semi auto and the P97 was by far the lowest priced one in the shop. I don't shoot it very much, but over the years it has worked exactly as it is supposed to, with never a single failure of any kind no matter the type or brand of ammunition. I keep it loaded and in a special place in part of my home as a "just in case I need a gun while working in the back of my basement" gun.
