Older SBH...

Hi all... I was in a LGS today and they have an older SBH. I can't remember all the serial # but I know it was made in either '74 or '75. There's no warning on the barrel. The bluing is very good and polished very nicely. My question is.. What kind of frame would have come on this gun? The frame and trigger guard are lightweight alloy and the size of a Blackhawk with a matte finish. The grips are older walnut. Price is $439. I just want to know if it sounds like an all factory gun before I start talking price.

That one should have started life with the steel dragroon (MR-3D) style grip frame. While the later model shorter barrel SBH has been delivered with a XR3-RED, it is a steel XR3-RED on the SBH..

Sounds like one of a few I robbed for the GF, hammer, and trigger then re-sold.

Does it have the Super hammer?

Thanks. I thought it should have a Dragoon frame but wasn't sure.
