Is it a FlatTop or a Super Blackhawk??

That's a OM flattop that has had a STEEL SUPER BLACKHAWK GRIP FRAME swap.

I get it,,, trying to hang on to a XR3 with 44 magnum is a hand full…😳

I only shoot 44 specials out of my OM flattop anymore, not because it won't shoot magnums, I just prefer it.

For the NM 50th flattop Did decide to get a RW Gripframe "Hunter" same as the Super Blackhawk except with a round trigger guard vs the square back dragoon. Way better handling the magnum's, but prefer the specials for plinking/ paper.

Changed out the Hammers to Super Blackhawk on both.

I like to refer to them both as "Superized"
OM 1956
NM 2006
Both are 4 digit sn#'s

pisgah,, the OP was asking about an OLD MODEL,,, not a New Model.

And as mentioned above,, if a FT,, and a 6-1/2" it would be correct, and the most common of the FT models in 44 mag.

Sorry, was at a trade show for work all weekend long and am now fighting a lovely case of "show-vid" (not to be confused with covid).

The pistol in question has had the frame and grips replaced but is still in great shape and unconverted. I already have a flattop that, like @G2, I won't shoot magnums out of anymore. It is being listed at $600 (along with an OM 4 5/8 .357 for the same price). If they were sequential or matching to any of my other old models, I would have picked them up. As it is, I am out of room in the safe again and I'm too greedy to sell any of my guns ;)
