What has been your experiences with these specific types of deer? Spotted one, petted one, shot one, ate one, stuffed one?
What else have you done to/with Bambi?

Elk....hunted but never saw one.
Caribou...hunted and ate,
Moose....hunted and ate.
Mule deer.....saw on drives to shooting range (out of season of course)
Oh yes....told my three year old daughter we were having bambi burgers:devilish:......tears from daughter😭 ....blows about the head and shoulders from spouse🥴

Elk... seen a few in the wild plus some on a farm, and ate some.
Mule deer... ate some.
Key deer...fed some, they seemed to like Oreos.
Reindeer...petted one or two, don't remember eating any.
Moose... seen plenty, ran from a couple, threw hockey pucks and snowballs at a few,
possibly some of the worlds dumbest animals.
Whitetail... hunted some, fed some, ate some, run over two with a Jeep,
and stepped on/fell over an extra dumb one.

Elk, Whitetail, Mule, have all been hunted, killed & eaten by me.

I have seen; Moose, Key, Fallow, Sika, & Red's,, all have been seen by me. And I've eaten a few of these. (I love Moose.)

I have eaten Caribou, & Axis as well.

For me only white tail: Shot, skinned, ate. For me the eating part is the fun part.

My husband he is the same but add mule deer and elk to the list. He also tells about a special deer named Bambi he met once downtown but when she said she charges he took a pass on that!
I met a girl in Thailand by that name. She was quite dear.

White tail... aka vehiclulsus smashus makem say bad words... probably hit close to 20 through the years with everything from a Mack dump truck (turned the deer into mush) to my wife's new Buick which was totalled because it blew the airbags. A couple of times I have hit more than one at a time and even had them run into the side of the vehicle that I was driving.

I hunt and eat whitetail. Hit 1 with my 1 month old P/U, 2 with a tractor/trailer and 1 that ran across a wide open field so it could run into the side of said tractor leaving a hole in the door from antler. That spun him around and sent him running back from whence he came. I think that is a pretty low count for 45 years of T/T driving. Have seen and eaten Moose, Elk, Mule deer, Bison and Caribou. Have seen Key deer and petted a Reindeer. I have had goats milk several times and my bacon is sliced, not Canadian(yuck).

I've hunted and eaten Whitetail, Blacktail and Mule Deer as well as both Rocky Mtn. and Roosevelt Elk. Saw a few Moose but never had a chance to hunt one.

Never do that again. Worked for a guy, deer season would come and he would tell the girls in the office he was going out to commit Bambicide for the weekend.

I think I met Bambi....she told me she was a witch.....wispered into my ear and I turned into a motel.:rolleyes:

I have shot, processed, & eaten white tail deer. I also hit one with my truck back in '16 very shortly after I bought it new. I also enjoy watching them when given the chance.

Edited To Add: You wouldn't believe how mad my wife got when a deer ate the hydrangea bush I got her down all the way to the ground. I thought it would come back so I left it alone. A year or two later it was starting to get some size to it again & look a little pretty. It happened again. I gave up & got rid of it.

What did you get rid of the bush or the deer ??

The bush. I never saw the deer. It was coming through either when I was gone to work or at night. I could use a bow here but it would not be a good idea to shoot a deer appropriate firearm here. Too many houses, too close.

Elk - seen and eaten
Caribou - seen
Moose - seen and eaten
Key - seen
White tail - seen, petted, hunted, eaten, been hit by them in multiple vehicles
Had goat cheese but not goat milk
We raised and butchered large whites growing up but I never had any bacon I didn’t like
Dogs - Dalmatian and Jack Russell

Most notable is a muley with a motocycle

You had a guardian angel riding with you that time. One of my old riding buddies was moving along at pretty good clip, heading home on a backroad after work one evening on his bike when he hit one. Both he and the deer where dead when someone finally found them.

RIP Naguethey

I was doing about 70 when it happened, never saw it till it was on the white stripe on the right side of the lane. Steep incline on that side of the road. Happened at dusk and I believed then and always will that the yard rats run at headlights. My head light hit it in the belly, cut him in half, gutted him and quartered the rear, I was over the front and on the road sliding. Very lucky
