They must have just released a new production run of the Match Champion III. I missed out on the last ones I saw last year and wasn't about to miss out again. Shot it today and I like it a lot, grip, trigger, accuracy all top notch. This is the only Match Champion .357 with the interchangeable front sight that I prefer and it's already been swapped out for a Dawson unit in 1/10" that my old eyes like.

The thinner profile changes the weight and balance too. Feels great. Not a huge fan of the tapered cylinder but I can live with it.

For many years,, I resisted the GP line. Why? Well, having a Security-Six,, I didn't see the need. They I picked up a Match Champion. Dern it,, now I own (3) GP's. All wear the MC grips too. I LIKE them.

And you have a nice one there too! Kudos on getting one!

Fine revolver.

Looks great, the interchangable front sight looks like a great assest on that GP. Keep us posted on how it shoots!

Another wonderful feature of this GP is the fact that the "Warning Label" is on the underside of the barrel where it belongs. That warning label is the main reason I don't have another GP.

The Gp100 MC is advertised to have, "centering boss on the trigger"' What is this? What does it do that is better?
I recently bought an MC and the trigger is a little off set. There is a small area on one side of the trigger that is rubbing slightly.
Does this "centering boss" still allow the use of shims to center the trigger?

It is a nice revolver. I do not regret picking it up. Ruger shows they are available in limited supply, so maybe I'm extra glad to have it, if it is only made in periodic runs.

That's the first one of those I've seen. Lot to like there. Full lug barrel, adjustable rear and standard GP100 front sight, I love it! (y) :)

It's been a wonderful gun and has reignited my love of GP100's and now I have two more. I have no Idea what the "Centering Boss" would be, the guts look exactly like my other two. The Hammer had shims but nothing else I noticed.

Holstering ease might have been a goal and perhaps the quest was a specific amount of weight reduction and the tapered cylinder got them there??
