New Blackhawk Convertable 357/9mm

I've got a couple hundred rounds of 9mm thru my new Blackhawk and I'm very happy with the accuracy.
I haven't tried any 357 or 38 spec yet-can't find ammo. My question is, are the projectile sizes so close that you can shoot both 9 and 357 thru the same barrel and have decent accuracy with both? I know its only 1 or 2 thousands difference, how much difference can you have before you have a problem?

My 357 load is 14.0/h110 with a 158 xtp. 115 9mm ball has the same poi @ 10 yrds

Mine likes .38/.357 bullets a little better than 9mm bullets. Good for you!

Many folks find good accuracy with both & others find good with one or the other. It all depends upon the gun & the ammo & how they like each other.

My NewVaq started life as a 357 and is now fully converted to 9mm via a Bowen cylinder blank, Dave Manson chamber reamer, .3555" chucking reamer for the final throats and a Douglas Premium true .355" barrel Taylor-throated. So I know what it wants to shoot: .356" lead or jacketed.

To really know what you've got you'd have to measure it all.

Also...if your gun was made in 2007 or later and has an under-barrel warning label, that's good - your chambers were done one at a time with the same reamer. So your chambers will be identical or near to it. Ruger's older process used six reamers all going at once and they weren't always a match to each other.

The only way you'll know for sure is to try it. You may find that different bullets perform differently.
