I'm a little sorry my post took the turn that it did. I never meant to belittle anyone nor to stir up any contention. This man, the priest,was an engineer who worked with me for many years at an engineering/construction firm and we made a few trips together to survey several projects. I had not heard from him in near twenty years.

Maybe if you would have told everyone up front that he was an old coworker and a friend , instead of just saying he was a Catholic Priest , things might not have " turned ".

Ignatius of Antioch i(who is not Ignatius Loloya who founded the Society of Jesus) is quite a guy. If your priest knows about him, your priest may have a good knowledge of early Christianity. He wrote some good stuff!
