I can tell jokes at a funeral. If you don't have a sense of humor life can be very difficult. Now for the big question.... Did you leave the tip Bob?There's hardly anything that can't be twisted into a humorous situation given enough effort.

Maybe if you would have told everyone up front that he was an old coworker and a friend , instead of just saying he was a Catholic Priest , things might not have " turned ".I'm a little sorry my post took the turn that it did. I never meant to belittle anyone nor to stir up any contention. This man, the priest, was an engineer who worked with me for many years at an engineering/construction firm and we made a few trips together to survey several projects. I had not heard from him in near twenty years.

"Same guy?"Being a Catholic and my best friend being Baptist we both agree we are on the same team just playing different positions. Also, the way the world is going we should look at our similarities, we both kneel to the same guy!
Ignatius of Antioch i(who is not Ignatius Loloya who founded the Society of Jesus) is quite a guy. If your priest knows about him, your priest may have a good knowledge of early Christianity. He wrote some good stuff!Should be good conversation, you might even learn something.
Ask him who Ignatius of Antioch was.
