Recently picked up a 3” GP100, and would like a leather OWB holster for use at the range. Anyone have suggestions and or pics of something that allows for easy reholstering? Thanks in advance!

Simply Rugged makes good stuff.

I'll throw out someone else. "Doc" Barranti of Barranti Leather makes some of the finest leather holsters I've ever found. I have (1) Simply Rugged rig,, and (7) Barranti's. Top quality for sure.

$52 out the door makes a great 3" range/car holster.

I was happy with the De Santis Speed Scabbard for a while until i realized that I just needed a stiffer belt to make my blade-tech with adjustable stingray loop work. This and similar FBI cant pancake holsters work well to pull the gun close to the body,

What is OWB???

I use Simply Rugged. Don't normally carry DAs though except for my concealed carry .44 Special Bulldog. Everything else is open carry.

Barranti makes some great rigs. Their CCR holster for revolvers makes a great range or open carry rig. Spendy but worth every dime. I have one for a 3" Model 29 and it rides close and secure, easy to access and complete a clean draw.

Thanks, I would have never guessed in a million years! So another words either hanging a holster on your pants belt, or belt and gun just slung around your waist :) .

I'll add my .02 on Simply Rugged. Rob Leahy is a great American and conservative man...also Army veteran who supports the troops and sends a lot of free leather to our troops. He also loves to talk to his customers or potential customers. Give him a call. He also stands behind his products and will always make it right.
