Interesting story about a guy who swaps fresh lobster for old guns. Got some nice ones.

I don't know, I like lobster... but a gun, regardless of it's age, can last forever... a lobster last me about 5 or 10 minutes....

That Long ???

Glad my wife doesn't know the combination to the gunsafe, as much as she loves lobster!

Sounds like my wife.We rode the motorcycle from Arkansas to Maine, just so she could have a real Maine lobster.
Myself,I wouldn't walk across the street for one.!

They only last forever if they just sit , Working guns get worn out over time.
I know this because I spent 30 years working in the gun industry ,retail and Rep.
Many times I had to tell someone that it was to worn out to repair , that they could buy a new one for a lot less than its going to cost to repair , Sometimes they would insist we do it, then I'd insist they leave a hundred dollar
deposit and would give them a written estimate then they could make a decision. If they decide not to do it there's a two hour labor charge (35.00 hr shop time) for the Gunsmiths time . I'd always get a kick out of the look on their faces when I told them the rate , They say ''Why so high'' I tell them your paying for a skilled craftsman , try getting a plumber or electrician or any skilled work you'll pay way more

My wife loves lobster (so do I) AND she knows the combination to the gun safe. Her guns and jewelry are in there too! But the WWI/II surplus guns are now
gone, except for 1 Colt 1917 :-( .......
