The air line is for one of Star Sizer/Lubers. This is the only picture handy so forgive the bald guy. Maybe someone has a good picture of the air feed.

I have a couple SDBs but not set up for 38s yet.
I'm in the process of cranking out some 170 grain Keiths atop HS6 for our local shooting matches. The RCBS Turret is definitely not as fast as the Dillon.

Matt my Lyman All American Turret will load 150 per hour, I've done it time after time. That said the SDB will do 300.

Since you brought up the Square Deal, I have a couple of questions.
I'm looking at upgrading to one of these since my old turret press/progressive is simply not getting the job done and I really need a more dependable progressive handgun loader.
If you didn't already have one, would you spend the $400 to buy a new one set up and ready to go? I would probably load 5-8000 of 9mm with it right away and then add a conversion to 38Sp for another 3-5000 later in the year.
Is the operation of the SD convertable for right/left hand or strictly as shown in the catalog? The reason I ask is because I have recurring problems with my right hand/arm and might find it advantageous to switch sides.

I have 2 of the SDB's and a 650.
I doubt you'd find many for much less than a new priced one, so buy it new. (It also gets you the "Blue Press" catalog & such.)
Next, as far as I know, R/H operation only. However, due to volume, you can stop & still have plenty of loaded ammo ready to go.

Mobuck, the SDB is pretty much a two handed operation. I'm right handed, so I put the case in with my right hand, set a bullet with my left, then pull the handle with my right.
Dillon presses hold their value very well, so its difficult to find a used one for much less than a new one.

There is a trick to the firewood also. I have a 2011 5055e John deere and a hydraulic wood splitter that would make short work of that wood pile. Then there would be time left for the fishing and shooting. I have 6 implements for my tractor only problem is I have no land to work it on. I bought it for fixing food plots for deer hunting. My wife thinks I am crazy but I like having more than needed for what I actually need. That's why I got the 4 wheel drive tractor.

IMHO the SD is all the progressive press the hobby loader needs for handgun ammo. I've loaded untold thousands on mine & don't believe the ammo would fit in a long bed pickup. I've sold many, many 38s & 45s plus all the 44s I've loaded for myself. The handle broke once & the new improved handle was given me by Dillon & after several years she's fine. If I was looking for a progressive I'd do it all over again. I have a two 450s, a 550 & 1050 but again for what most people do it's hard to beat a SD.
I've watched the Lee Turret run on You-Tube & they look good also.

The machine uses either a 4 way or 6 way wedge plus a handy log lift.
And a conveyor to move it away but still can't keep up. I just shut down & go shooting & fishing 'cause I never catch up. :lol:
