Not at all gun related (unless you consider being able to see while you
work on them) . . . I happened across the "GE bright stik" at Sam's club
and decided to try one package (six of them). They are slightly lower
priced than the CFLs AND are not a mercury "problem" that the CFLs
are. Sam's has them (here) for $14.98 for 6.
Installed a set in my back bed/computer/gun room and all I can say is
WOW! Thirty percent lower current draw (9w v 13w) for the
equivalent to a 60w incandescent bulb. Instant on, rather than the slow
light up of the CFL, and color is good, at the minimum.
Was going to get another set or two from Sam's and thought I should
look at Amazon. Prime price is $12.89, so I ordered three sets. If they
last as long as they are rated, I should not need to buy light bulbs again. :wink:
