Committing crimes is an equal opportunity thing. The sad truth is that I arrested/investigated far more vets then cops doing what Jack Black mentioned. Cops doing that stuff is damn rare. But what do I know I just went where dispatched, no rumors, computer web site or bar room tale crap. There is no box to check on custody forms that asks if offender is a vet or not. So not any way to track through FBI data base.

I don't know what hat you pulled that one out of Jack... I was just relating what I remember the agent telling me and how I understand the legal and lawyering system currently... that if a cop shoots someone they are more likely going to be sued and our justice system has to a degree gone down hill since, and here is just my opinion, lawyers are now allowed to advertise. Up until about 1972 it was unethical for a lawyer or a doctor to advertise their services..
The police are still the "thin blue line" that keeps society from degenerating into pure anarchy. Of course their are some bad cops, and some evil doctors, etc, etc. But that does not diminish the importance of value of having police doing what we expect them to do, even if imperfectly.

Yep, but you can’t poop on the platform either. Well unless you are homeless. Then you can urinate, dedicate, walk around nude and have sex on the sidewalk outside of the elementary school.
Apparently the homeless figured out if you got arrested you got food, a shower, clean clothes and a comfortable place to stay for a few days. The government in their wisdom, to reduce law enforcement costs just said it’s okay and quit arresting them.
Now a housed individual does the same thing and, yep you guessed it, you get arrested. Oh and forced to register as a sex offender.

One of my cardinal beliefs is to always question Authority. My nature is to be skeptical of just about everything 'they' tell you. And I know we as a culture are only a slight step away from chaos.... history tells us this. (but then that is me believing some of what 'they' have told me and that in itself is ironic). With all my skepticism and questioning I will still to my end show respect to anyone who has the courage to put on a badge / uniform and swear to protect and serve.

Yes. I agree with all that you said. It's made to tear our society apart. Not just war.... big tech, big oil, war industry, car industry. The left has lobbyists just like the right. There's a list of companies they BOTH support. They don't represent us trust me. Neither one. Unless you are a billionaire trying to make yourself more money. One of the best ways to take away someone's fight is to remove self determination or even responsibility. Look at the policy and ask who is gaining money or power and you will find way more answers..... for both sides.

Lobby groups are the ones now controlling the United States. Both sides of the fence. They have the power to actually send America into a War for Their Country. Use America Troops as if they were trash and expendable. They are destroying democracy more than any other source. They literally Purchase Politicians. It is a evil circle. MIC, AIPAC, SOROS. We need to focus on Destroying these lecherous cockroachs before they destroy US. Sadly I think it may be too late. Burn the Politicians that take the money and the US would start a true recovery.

Stopping a whole lane of traffic can also be how "pile ups" occur. I don't think it's such a wise thing to do just to whip out your ticket book. Is it really worth the risk?

Yes, it is. Flatlanders so eager to get to the ski slopes on Fri nite that they speed thru our villages at 60+ and hit and kill our senior citizens out walking their dog.... and the dog as well. Why don't you assume I know how to stop a line so that they are all off road and out of traffic? After 6 months of "aggressive" speed enforcement I can tell you unequivocally that traffic on Rt 30 proceeded at a safe pace without any further need for intervention from me.... it's amazing how the word gets out. By the by-I never stopped anyone going less than 10 over.
Back when I was a bit younger I had a tendency to go over the speed limit... not a lot but just over and be in a hurry. I can honestly say when ever I got pulled over I did not have any animosity towards the officer... It was my own DAMN fault and I owned up to it.
