A long way from heaven and far too close to Chicag
The topic being discussed was an incident (in Texas I believe) where a piece of trash was trying to pull a kid into his car and the father beat the obama out of him. No charges were filed. The poster insisted the father should have been charged with something and wanted suggestions as to what...

My suggestion of "littering" had me banned within 5 minutes.

Some sites are no fun at all.
I'd send the mods a PM suggesting some
warm prune juice.

I am banned from the smith and wesson site. That is like being banned from the Apache tribe for being too warlike.

It’s a crazy upside down world we live in, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.

The father should have gotten a parade and the keys to the city for providing a commuunity service.

I was banned from the marlin site. My transgression, 24 posts instead of 25 to put a rifle up fs. they demanded to know who I sold it to. I replied john spartan you are fined ___ credits for violating the rules. No humor allowed. I still don't miss need that site. greg

I'be been banned from Accurate Reloading for expressing my completely honest opinion of one Barak Hussein Obama. I got banned from a site dealing with the short magnums. My horrendous comment? I stated that while the .300 WSM is a fine cartridge, I think that if one already owns a .300 Win. or Weatherby mag I see no need the WSM to the collection unless you just want one. The E-mail I got banning me was more four letter words describing my ancestry all the way back to Cro-Magnon man all the while telling me was permanently banned for his holy (?) site. To be honest it was a pretty lame site anyway.

It's kind of weird how important people are that we don't know
especially when they tell us 'we don't want you anymore'.
What? You don't want me anymore?
But I'm so lovable and really kind of cute.
I feel an attack of ritual suicide coming on and it's all the people
I don't know's fault.

"Littering" ? I would think disposing of human waste in an improper manner would be more appropriate.
I have been banned from some faux-conservative websites, had my veteran's credentials questioned. One board wouldn't even let me register, said I was on their banned list. ? Several websites I haven't bothered with, others said the moderators were cranky, narrowed minded and on ego power trips.
My response ? To use a phrase from years gone by:
"A pox on you !"

I got booted from a forum that I was really interested in until I realized they didn't have much use for anyone who wasn't "in the group" so to speak. I stated a perfectly logical(to me anyway) answer to a scenario proposed on the forum. The moderator misunderstood(or didn't want to accept) my response and banned me forever. POOF!!

Only if you feel it is appropriate to describe someone that would attempt to get a small child not his own into a car as human. Since there is no statute (that I know of) making it a crime not to report roadkill to the conservation department, littering would have to do.

I've never been banned but I was called a "troll" by a moderator. I told him I had been on multiple boards for 25 years using the name Mike Campbell and provided him my address and phone # ... then asked him to explain what a "troll" was. He couldn't answer that and I left before the door hit me in the ass. Moderators are a lot like real life ... a lot of Barney Fifes and damned few Andy Taylors.

.

Out of about 30 forums, I've only been banned from one once - and that was over 10 years ago (can you guess how much I miss them ? )

OTOH, I've resigned/quit several forums because either a moderator of an owner was a donkey butt.

I guess I should read more carefully. I thought the father was wailing on the kid. I get it now. Littering would be too harsh a charge for a public service.

Should have needed a basket to pick up the 'litter'.

Banned from the 1911 site for posting a question in the "incorrect" section. At least here the Mods will generally PM you if there is an issue.

Some of my favorite gun boards have suddenly become over-moderated and a little too PC. Kinda takes the fun out of it. :( I was banned from an art forum, years ago, when I was actively producing wood carvings and sculptures. I didn't bow to the self appointed master and stand in awe of his little gourds. No great loss.

A review of the following at the top of this section might help establish what is expected. These have been there for several years and are still viable.
