So we had a early flight Tuesday morning so I set it all up with uber everything was all good assigned a driver and everything and even took the money out of my account then I get this message that my card was no good need to add new card if I don’t they will cancel my ride . So I called them they said everything is ok still I keep getting new messages about canceling didnt sleep the whole night worry about this finally 1 hour before the ride they say he is on the way . Man they suck

Used it once and it was okay,,, the only problem is somehow at first I set up a ride to pick me up at the Greenville S.C. airport while waiting on my flight out of Las Vegas and then I get a message that the Uber car will be there in 10 minutes... finally had to ask a friend to figure out how to cancel it..... I will say that I knew a guy, he died last year, who had a massive stroke about 7 years ago and was in the hospital for 6 months and when he got out was not all there.. was pretty squirrelly and a scary driver before the stroke and he then 3 years ago became an Uber driver with his wife navigating... no way in the world would I have gotten in a car with him driving....

I've never had an issue with Uber except that it has gotten pricey. $40 for the 8 mile trip to work, at least at the time I'm travelling.

My one and only experience with Lyft was horrible. The driver spent the entire time yaking on the phone with a friend explaining why he was an IT god. If you're an IT god, why do you need to have a second job?

My wife uses them and sometimes for no apparent reason they will either cancel her ride or just not show up. Or be late or drive slow etc.

I’ve never had an issue. I’ve never prebooked though. I open the AP, order one up and it shows up. Most I’ve waited is 10 min? And I uber a good deal because I fly a good bit.

We use a local taxi or limo service......... and we call them on our telephone to schedule our rides. NEVER A PROBLEM.

Like everything else, Washington State finds new ways to add taxes to anything and everything.

Seattle’s status as the city with the most expensive Uber rides in the United States, averaging $60 for a 30-minute ride, is no accident. A recent study by NetCredit highlights this reality, and is a result of the city’s heavy-handed regulatory approach to rideshare services like Uber and Lyft.

Well, I've only been in an Uber when someone else ordered it & paid for it. I've never ordered one.

When I go to SHOT,, I stay at a hotel that USED to have the SHOT shuttle service. When SHOT stopped that route,, they still had one close enough for me to walk to it.
Now,, they have reduced the hotels they service with the free shuttle even more. They want us to stay at one of their selected hotels, & use a rail system,, which I'd have to pay for. When I looked into that,, the expense of moving from where I stay to a new place was HUGE.
So,, for the last few years,, I use a taxi. They line up outside my hotel, and it rarely takes any length of time to catch one. But leaving the shot,, taxi's do not want to go there due to the time they are tied up in the congestion.
So,, I use the free shuttle to a hotel that is the closest to my hotel, and quickly snag a taxi to my hotel.
It's a little bit more expensive than the rail system,,, but is WAY cheaper than changing hotels. (My regular hotel comps me a LOT of my room stuff.)

But I'm a bit "computer stupid" and have no clue on how to order or get an Uber or whatever. I'm sure my taxi fees are much less than an Uber from what I've been told.

We use them a lot when traveling to a large metropolitan city where we don’t know our way around. We rent cars for smaller cities but uber has always been reliable and easier in a big city! Most recently 8 of us all over Houston at the NRA show. No problems!
