I’m so sorry for your loss. The hurt of losing your dog is hard to overcome. It’s been just over 4 years since we lost our beloved Jessie and it still brings tears to my eyes. I have often said that it’s only fitting that the loss hurts so bad because the love was so strong.

To love a pet & then feel heartfelt loss & pain shows a compassionate heart. We as humans often adopt a pet to give us companionship,, yet they most often give us so much more.
I have a good friend who lost his dog of 16 years just a few days ago as well.

Heartbroken is a good way to describe things.

I too offer my sympathies for your loss. You obviously are a caring & compassionate person.

I can relate, we lost our Charlie girl in February. I cried more over her than anyone’s passing. We only had her for a little over two years, but they have a way of getting in your heart. It’s still hard for me.

Yes, it does hurt like hell. We lost our dog of 14 years about 18 months ago and I still miss her every day.

Had to have my dog euthanized this morning at the emergency vet. She was by far the best dog I've ever had, and truly a blessing from above. She came into my life unexpectedly, and at time a time when I most certainly wouldn't be here today if she hadn't.

I know just how you feel. lost my most recent one 3 days before Christmas last year. And he had come along after a really bad year. Didn't save my life... but certainly made the pain I was feeling a little easer.

Sorry about your loss. I lost my dog just over 4 years ago, then my sister a few months later to cancer...before she died I promised to take her 2 year old dog. She was so relieved, and now everyday I can look at this dog and still feel a bond with her. When the time is right, God will place a gift in front of you. My gift thinks she’s an 11 pound Pitbull.
