How would you do this?

Probably a stupid question but here goes.
Needing ideas please.
I have an SR9c with a Crimson Trace green laser. I would like to mount a holster or something on the back of a night stand to hold it for easy access. Seems the new green laser doesn't fit any current holsters. Any bright ideas on what I could use?
Thanks from a newbie.

If looks don't count, then I have a suggestion. Remember, looks don't count, right?

Plastic molded, fabric lined, flanged "holster."

1. Cut out plastic milk jug to general shape of sidearm, including a large flange surround. This should be in two halves, one side touching nightable, other side facing wall etc.

2. Using some old pipe lengths duct taped together to form large-ish firearm size,

3. Heat gun the plastic carton to approximate gun dimensions, mostly on wall-facing half piece.

4. Line interior of halves with fabric (gently gun oil sprayed?)

5. Affix two halves together.

6. Mount contraption to back of nightstand.

7. It'll work, but I told you it was ugly! :D

try an uncle mikes for a P90........that's what i did for my G/F's walther with a laser to mount it to the side of our waterbed.............yes i actually have one......i know but i sleep well.

as chefrob said, use the Uncle Mikes or any other "ballistic nylon" made wide holster, kind you see at the gun shows for scoped handguns, must be wide enough to slide the gun/w optic into, may have to cut off any straps, or flaps but "so what" ....you can "seal" the edges. if you cut the holster to "size" use a lit match to burn/seal the edges to make it "smooth, no threads, etc........yes, we've done the same things for customers over the years.......also have used something as simple as one of them 'plastic' bathroom or kitchen hooks, sticks to ANYTHING, mount it "out of sight" easy to reach or get at, and if there are chidren around at ANY time, mount it HIGH................and NO tell NO-ONE, "where"..........

Find a holster that fits then go to the fabric dept at walmart and get some velcro. It will have a sticky backing. Stick the felt side to the holster, and position it where you want it. Then stick the hook&loop side to the night stand.

I wrapped a military utility belt around the 4 legs of my nightstand as high up I could get it. I have a paddle holster that I just slip on and off the belt as needed. The hardest part is getting the belt tight enough that it does not slip down. I tightened it as tight as I could get it and put one or two zip ties around it in a couple of paces pulling the two sides of the belt together and tightening it up. The paddle holster slips between the two halves of the belt. Works for me.

GunVault SVB500 Speedvault Biometric Pistol Safe
A bit pricey but is a gun safe as well. And it keeps your gun safe from the inquisitive minds of children. Swipe your finger and the holder drops open exposing your gun for quick draw.
I forgot, it has a foam insert so it doesn't care about lasers or not - my LC380 has a Laserlyte laser.

Tandy leather has a Kydex kit available. This you can mold to whatever size and shape pistol you may have.

So far, all the holsters recommended here are for the red laser versions. The green laser mounts on the rail and is fairly large compared to the red lasers. An over sized fabric holster would sure work and will see what I can find. Going to look into the magnet idea and the Kydex kit. That Kydex material is really neat! I can think of several uses for that stuff. Might just end up taking some stiff fabric and making a pocket of sorts. Thanks all!!!
