Would you buy this P89DC?

For good or bad a lot of 'California' has moved here and it shows in many ways... has nothing to do with guns but here is a google map picture of a house I had to go inspect the fireplace on last month....
I promise the house is somewhere in there.... I drove by at least 3 more of these housing developments on the way to this one:

Would be interesting to go by my favorite FFL and see what they are asking for any Ruger P pistols... I'd be willing to bet on the $400 range at least....
bought a P89DC at a pawn about 6 months ago with 6 mags for $275 , they had $325 on it but one side of the mag release was missing so i beat them up , think it cost $15 total for the parts with shipping and 15 minutes to figure out how to install from Numerich , cleaned up really nice

had a P93 at one time , sold to a buddy when the P95 first came out , wish i had kept it , but love the P95 and still have it , like i said they had just dropped so its a early one without the accessory rail

I had a P90DC years ago, liked it but upgraded to a Sig P220 which had a better trigger.
Today I saw an early P89DC at a pawn shop asking $350. It only had the 10 round California mag and I was able to get them down to $275. It followed me home. Trigger 8 1/2 pounds double action and 4 pounds single action. Maybe the previous owner put Wolff springs in it. Trigger has a little single action creep but doesn't stack in double action like my P90DC did. Shame they quit making these, shoulda just made em prettier. I'm a decocker guy.
I think it will make a good truck gun.

I've had my P94DC .40 S&W for nearly 30 years now and have never had a failure with it. Built like a tank (typical Ruger) and eats any ammo I feed it. Hey, if they were good enough for LE, must certainly be good enough for me. $179 is a STEAL for that gun. I paid like $300 new for mine, but like I said, that was almost 30 years ago. The P series was, and ARE, wonderful guns. Plenty of parts out there in the wild, too, to keep them going. A lot of people think they're ugly guns. I don't.

I agree 100% with that. I myself, have never felt my P89 and P95 were ugly, Never. These guns are all well built, actually over built, and well designed. I have other well name brand guns, and my P guns do not take a back seat to them at all. Mine out shoot them when I go out shooting. Don't get me wrong. The others all shoot well for me, but I myself, just seem to do a little bit better with my P guns. I love 'em.
