with out sending it to ruger ,how do i adjust p-95 extractor?before anybody chimes in ,have ALREADY tried 5 ruger factory magazines ,3 brands of ammo ,and iam not limp-wristing ( had p-89 ,before and know about the limpwristing with the ruger P models )and took apart and cleaned and lubed it. bought blued gun used for a good price ,man said only 2 round shot thru it then he loaded it up and put in nightstand ,i know the guy and believe him ,bluing was not wore off the inside of slide till i shot it .Anyway in the 1st 160 round thru gun when 1st shot gun it worked ok but only ejected cartridge about 10 inch from slid ,then it started ejecting them 4 to 5 inch from slid out to the right then it started thowing them back over the gun to the left and to my face ,then it started to FTF,most of the time it would not go all the way into battery and some time tip of bullet would be going up into the hood of the barrel pointing up,just put brand new ruger recoil springs in it will try it tommarrow, but i have a feeling the extracter needs adjusted ,how do you do it?

The extractor is just a bent piece of metal really. Pop it out with a flat screw driver and bend it a little more so it has more inward pressure. You could also call Ruger and kindly hint that they should send you a new one. Pretty cheap part I'm sure.

You may also want to look at the ejector though.

Post pictures if possible too.

Good luck,

I had the same or similar problem with my p95 when I first got it and change the extractor with a new one.......................three times! [It did not help at all![/u]
I wound up sending it into Ruger, they change the extractor AND the ejector plus some other parts.
 So it might be more then a extractor problem??
Ruger fixed my for free, parts and postage.
