What's a fair price for a 50th anniversary Engraved 12 ga Red Label? Pistol gripped stock and 26" barrels. The owner has put 3-4 boxes of trap loads through it at the range. All the boxes and paperwork. The wood is a little plain but wood to metal fit looked good. Any help on a fair price between friends is greatly appreciated.

There is a 28 gauge for sale on GB like you describe with box and papers, that has only one bid of $2000 on it. I would think it would get more bids. The 28 gauges as you know, sell for a great deal more than the 12 gauges. From my observations, the 12 gauge 26 inch barrel models are less desirable than the ones with 28 or 30 inch. IMO between friends, $1200-$1500 for a 12 gauge with box and papers is quite fair. If the wood was outstanding then it would be worth a little more to me, but since it is not; that is what I think it is worth. There are actually quite a few of these out there and they come available fairly regularly. I hope that helps, and good luck.
