If you don't know, Goat Guns are miniature models of firearms with working parts. My 1911 Goat gun is pictured below with my Colt GM for size comparison.

A few years back my daughter gave me the mini 1911 for my birthday. The slide works, the grip safety works, the hammer drops, the mag has tiny cartridges.

My boss is interested in firearms so I took it to work to show him and he got a charge out of it. A coworker in his mid-20s told me that it made him nervous to have to see my Goat Gun. Nervous? A tiny toy with fake bullits? Oddly, he loves movies like John Wick.

These are great stocking stuffers at Christmas. I do a lot of shopping at Sportsman's Warehouse. They have dozens available as "add on" sales at the check out line. I always grab a few. Over the last few years I've given my Son the M1 Garand, 1911, M17, Thompson, AK47, M16A1, AR15 and stands for them. Last year I got the Veterans Kit w/1911, Thompson and M1. Sits on my desk at work.

what do you mean by with working parts?
The slide works, the grip safety works, the hammer drops, the mag has tiny cartridges.

It doesn't shoot but the mag release works as does the slide stop. The trigger drops the hammer. The grip safety works. It feeds and extracts the mini cartridges.

I swear folks don't read threads and just reply....or should I say regurgitate previous posts....
I have to admit when I read the title I thought it was a typo and was supposed to be "ghost guns". I do know what hoplophobia is (my spell check doesn't though) .... I know folks that get nervous if you even mention the word gun...
but I did read the original post before commenting... they would be cool to collect but I got too much stuff as it is .....

I have a small pair of Colt SSA .45s from Uberti with sequential serial numbers and fully functional with dummy rounds but they were $350 ea.

Greatest Of All Time “Goat” Guns, jees……

Why the hate? guess they are banned/not CA Compliant in commifornia for being so concealable with working parts?
