Dan in MI said:Nope, new ones have a motor controlling the throttle. About 5* open for idle. More as idle needs change, along with normal driving control. (I know both systems well)
What year did they change? The last F-150 I had was a 2005. I went backwards after that when I found a 2000 F-250 with the 7.3 that only had 65,000 miles. Owned by an older couple that only used it to pull a small bumper hitch camper around with on the weekends. I have since put it through its paces though to make sure it works!
