I'm looking to replace a remote control for my truck and the California Prop 65 warning made me laugh...

California Prop 65 Warning Don't eat

Jeez are people THAT stupid that they might EAT the remote control?

Hang on, with so many non English speakers there I guess they COULD be tempted to eat the remote huh? But then again if they don't read English, the Prop 65 warning is kinda useless no?

Like the TV commercials the go on about their product for a minute or more in English and the last sentence is...

"Se habla Espanol"

For a Spanish only speaking person here's what they hear!

Blah, blah... blahblahblah... blah... "We speak Spanish" !

That slays me!

I feel insulted by commercials that seem to target non-English speaking and/or sexual deviate people(?). The mere fact that there are enough of 'those' to warrant directed TV commercials in the United States is just WRONG.

You would think that some politician in California would have realized this and proposed and they would have passed the law that the Prop 65 warning labels needs to be printed in not just English but 31 other languages.... Some California citizen or even non citizen should sue the state after they are harmed by the remote they chewed on .... heck, I bet they would actually win.

Does anyone here actually understand what Prop 65 is, what it was intended to be and how it was corrupted. Quick lesson.
Prop 65 was put on the ballot by the citizens via the initiative process (look it up).
It was intended to be a quite so citizens could avoid cancer causing products. Not a bad Idea.
Then the lawyers got involved and found that just about everything had something that could cause cancer. No matter how minute the amount the filed suit to have it listed. Then the politicians got on board, and things got worse.
