i lost my car title a year ago.
had new one made.
I found the original.

which do I keep?
can I keep both in case I lose one again?

The new one is the DMV will rely on but why not keep both just in case.

The old one is now void.
The new one is the one you will need in case you want to sell your vehicle.

MO voids the previous title when issuing a new one. I never throw such things away and recently this paid me back when I/we lost the title for an older trailer. The registration plate was damaged beyond readability but the old/voided title provided the VIN # needed to file for a replacement title.

If I have the 'space' I prefer to keep any and all legal documents unless I know for sure I will never need them. Hard copies have 'saved' me more than once.
