Different?

I have purchased a new to me .22 magnum cylinder for my single-six. I have noticed it has curved ratchets as opposed to the straight ones that are on the old one. Once I trim it down to fit is this going to pose a problem?

Welcome to the forum.

I do not think the cylinder with the curved ratchet is a Ruger cylinder. I've seen quite a few in the flesh and photos of lots more an none of them had curved ratchets.

Can you post some pics for us to look at? That way we can hopefully verify it is or is not a Ruger cylinder.

If you are able to get it to fit in the cylinder frame then you need to verify chamber to bore alinement and several aspects of timing.
If anything is off it can be a disaster.
