I had been thinking for some time about adding a Ruger Single Six to the stable just to have one single action revolver to add to all the DA guns I already have. This Colorado Centennial version came for sale locally. As the seller said, "Anyone who lives in the city of Centennial, should have a Centennial Single Six."

Sounded good to me.

Welcome to the Forum!
Nice.
It was Karma for you to have one.
Besides,, any excuse to buy another one is a good excuse.

I bought two 76ers in 357cal. when they came out, I had trouble cocking them when the barrel was pointed down even slightly , before even shooting them I took them apart and filed the back of the transfer bar at a angle so it would slip past the firing pin, Later they came out with the spring loaded cyl. pin that kept the transfer bar from catching on the firing pin. Had to leave them in Alaska because of a change in a Canadian law on transporting

Ruger 36,
Not only didn't I know that Ruger made a 357 Cent. Model, I never heard of any NMs with a cyl pin that didn't have the plunger/spring. And after Ruger was making NMs for at least two years.

Did you mean 357 Colorado Cent models or 1976 Bicentennial 200th year of American Liberty models?

Sounds good to me too.
That's about as nice as they come. I see them on the Gunsamerica site, one every month or so. Might be the same one each month.

Yes I was disapointed with them after having nothing but three screws , but had planned to keep because of being cent.In 76 crossing Canadian border they put your hand guns in a sealed bag ,you had ten days to cross Canada the bag had to be sealed when you reached the border. In 77or 78 they changed their laws . I had bought a nice Great Western up there, had to sell them all.

Hondo IT been a long time since 1976 but if I remember right I was looking for a 4-5/8 but they only had a 6-1/2 bought it then found a 4-5/8 and bought it , what are the odds that they both had the wrong cyl.pin ??????

That's a VERY NICE Centennial model you have pictured in your October 29 post, glenncal1, with the Colorado medallion fully clear with dates on the lid. Very nice! Wonder where you got it?!
