Single-Sixer
Do/did Ruger make a flattop in 44mag. in the current flattop run ? I only seem to see 44 specials .

Yes they originally did in flattop and then brought out the 50th anniversary in a flat top awhile ago. They are still prevalent on gunsamerica for a good price.

Ruger did a fantastic job two times in a row! '05's 50th Anniv. .357 Flattop and '06's 50th Anniv. .44 Flattop. Both guns were made on the same sized cylinder frames as were the mid '50's originals.

What's wrong with 'em? Dennis
They were made along the lines of a Vaquero, with the groove in the top strap as a rear sight. They also had a 4-5/8" barrel and a hokey pseudo "red eagle" grip medallion.
The original Single-Sixes had the "drift-adjust" rear sight and 5-1/2" barrel, and of course the well-known black eagle medallion.
The Anniversary guns were nice little guns, but were not faithful to the originals.
Talo put out a 60th Anniversary Single-six, but it was stainless (which the originals weren't) and had fully-adjustable rear sights (which the originals didn't), a 6-1/2" barrel, and New Model style medallions.

My son just bought a 50th anniversary at yesterdays gun show looked to have been shot very little it is a 44 Mag. Beautiful revolver. The price was under $400
