44 Special

TN-You still have to fill out the forms at the gun show and they run a check on you in Nashville. No waiting period. You pay for what you want, once cleared, and walk out.
I think he meant maybe you could order it to one of the gun show dealers to transfer it to you at the show.

Heck even Smokey Mountain Knifeworks has a decent assortment of guns........I love that area....breakfast at Flapjacks and the rest of the morning shopping the outlets. I can spend a couple hours in Smokey Mountain Knifeworks.....Buds only about 30 minutes.
I approve this message! The whole Sevierville area is a fun trip.

I am definitely getting the urge for the GP100 in 44Special. We have a gun show next month and I"ll curry comb the isles hoping to find one. I would have just ordered one from Bud's but there's no gun shop close that would accept it for transfer so, that leaves the gun show. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll find one.
Where do you have a gun show on the water? You said you would "comb the isles". Just jerking your chain. I am sure you meant "aisles". 😁😁😁

Agreed. May be heading down in July to spend time with the Kids and Grandson. Only a 25 min drive to Sevierville. Looking forward to breakfast at Flapjacks at least 3 times.....
Sounds like a good time. Wish I could go too, but we’re going to CO next month. It’s a 9 hr drive for me.🫤

There's a Bud's in Sevierville, TN next door to Smoky Mountain Knifeworks. Don't know if they have what you want, though.
Yep, neighbor next door told me that recently. The gun show in Knoxville is coming up in a couple weeks so, I may just try my luck there. I can't decide which I'd rather have-the Vaquero 45 Colt or the GP100 in 44 Special.

Well, lemme see; I have a 6.5" S&W M24, and a 4-5/8" Ruger Flattop Bisley. Long story behind that gun; it began life as a 'cleanup' Ruger Collector's Ass'n 7.5" gun that looked like hammered dog crap when it left the factory. Absolutely nothing fit - grip frame, grips, etc. It was very apparent that they just grabbed parts out of the bins and slapped them together, just so they could turn them into a gun and sell them. I went round and round with Ruger customer disservice, and they told me to call them back in a year, and maybe they'd do something about it. They were too busy repairing guns that didn't work to worry about 'just cosmetic issues.' I told the nice lady that I would not still own the POS in a year, and said goodbye. Then I sent the revolver to my gunsmith and spent a bunch of money having him and Doug Turnbull make the gun presentable, at least. That turns out to have been a wise decision! I'll probably buy a Charter Arms Bulldog too, just because. I believe that one would be fun to work with, and see just how it handles. I realize that they have a spotty reputation, but at least I'll go into it with my eyes wide open.
