Bbl. Thread Issues on KRH-41R, 1988?

I'm considering a Redhawk, as mentioned above, and couldn't find the specifics on when the barrel-grease-over -the-weekend issue was resolved.

I'm guessing by 1988 (SN 502-45XXX) the issue had been corrected. Is this right? -TIA

As far as I know, and was told by Ruger way back when,,, my Redhawk was the first one to have the barrel separate from the frame. And,,, it was made well before 1988.
I've only heard of barrel separation in the 44 mags,, not the 41 mags.

I haven't heard of one separating in decades. Seems such a small number of them it could have affected. I'd think the issue is a moot point.
