Any Springfield XD-E owners??

I only have one black plastic fantastic and it's my old Glock 23 Gen 4 and it's a nice shooter.
However I've been looking at the new XD-E in .45 ACP as a lighter smaller semi-auto carry gun as a companion to my Ruger SR 1911 Cmd.
Local gun shop had a couple but they were the 9mm version but their price is the same.
After some handling it seems to fit me well and is smaller and could be a nice ISWB type carry gun plus it can carry 7+1 which is great for a small .45 ACP gun. I also like the DA/SA setup with decocker.
My other big bore carry gun is my .44 Special Bulldog.
Gun is fairly new so didn't know if any folks here might own one and your thoughts on it.

I haven't tried the XD-E yet, but once I do if it's anywhere near as nice as my XD-S I'll buy one.

My sentiments exactly! My LGS is ready to order me the XDe in .45, but I ain't biten' until I actually hold one in my hand and see how the trigger and other controls feel. It LOOKS like just what I need. I'm getting old. My KP90DC is finally getting a bit heavy! :?

The DA pull was a bit on the heavy side which it probably should be. In that setup you wouldn't need the safety on much like a DA revolver. Or you can carry it cocked and locked with a lighter SA trigger pull...nice options to have. My shop's price was $499.00

Shot one today in 9mm it was pretty low recoil. My friend who owns it agreed with me when I said trigger could use some work.

We both felt it was not consistent smooth then sticky nit sure when it was going to shoot.
