Well, Miss Penny & I attended another FoNRA event last night. We went purely as attendees & didn't have to work. We did make it a "family" affair. I have another family whom my family shared each other as we all grew up. I called their mom, "Mama Jo" while they called my mom "Mama Tango." Mama Jo had 4 kids,, & there were 3 of us. We are all close.
Well, my other family,, while they are all supporters of the NRA & such,, had never been to an event. At a funeral about 3 weeks ago, (for the son of the oldest boy in my other family) we were all discussing my recent event. A comment was made by my brother from another mother, that he'd like to go to one. Well, he lives in Columbia SC,, but his son lives close to me in Landrum SC. His older brother & younger sister live in Hendersonville NC. So, it turned out that 3 of them, (all siblings,) a son, and 2 wives,, made up 6 of the table of 8 we got.
To me,, a family affair!
Well, The event was held in Inman SC,, and had about 225 tickets sold. And the place was too small for that many folks. But it was still a lot of fun. Our "table" bought 5 items off the live auction, bought 2 items off the silent auction, and won 3 guns!
Anybody need a Glock 48? I don't!
Miss Penny bought the "Tomb of the Unknown" replica from the package. At my Asheville event, it sold for a lot more than what we gave for it last night. It's a heck of a nice piece.
