About two weeks ago I bought my neighbor dad's single six who past a few years back. It's the old 3 strew and right now I'm finding out the year made. I know it's not that old since it has the 6&1/2" barrel but last week I shot a 100 rounds through it & man it shot nice. I'll try & take a picture & show you all. It's not perfect but looks good to me.

Welcome Del. Sorry to hear of a another handgunner's passing, but happy to see his passion carrying on.

I tried to send a pic on my new computer but
just wouldn't work. I'll have to ask the my son how to do it.
Might be my old camera that doesn't work with the new system.

S4, thanks for the help I'll keep working at posting pic's until I figure it out. I'm getting closer!!!

Fox M, the sn# is 8025xx hope that helps. I paid $200.00 for the gun which I think was a fair price & like I said earlier the gun shot great.

Thanks armyb - not planning on getting rid of it. My son has been trying to talk me out it since buying it but he'll get it someday.

Remember that Ruger will install the transfer bar modification at no charge and they will pay shipping. This modification makes it safe to carry the revolver holstered with rounds in all six cylinders. A worthwhile upgrade.
