Hey Guys,
Here is another project Son, DIL and I did last winter at Son's house. He also lives on an airpark North of Ft Worth.
This is a 1975 7ECA Citabria with 1300 airframe and engine hours. The engine which is a Lycoming O-235-C1 115HP. has new cylinders

This came from a very wealthy man that owns several Warbirds and a Citation Jet. He also owned the Cub in my other post. He sold both of these to us knowing that we would get them back in the air correctly. Also the price was VERY VERY good price.
It is one of the cleanest 1975 low time original planes that I have seen in a long time.
It had a cracked Front Spar on the right wing. We replaced both spars in the right wing and recovered it along with repainting the left wing. The interior was looking a little shabby so we replaced it along with other minor fix ups.

Very nice. I didn't know the passenger seat had a stick and rudder pedals with what I assume is a throttle control on the side also. Very interesting.

Your flight instructor sits back there, if you do stupid things he may be able to
save your lives. If you do slightly stupid things he can swat you upside the
head with a rolled up chart.

Nice! On your other two posts someone mentioned about braking the spars on a citabria but a cub was on that post.
Now I see how I missed it. I owned a 1971 GCBC for many years. It was a crop duster before me. As you know they had flaps and the 0-320 LYC 150 hp. Sold it about 4 years ago. On Hospice going on nine months.

Hi,

When I was in HS, one of my buddies was taking flying lessons. His Dad had owned a Mooney and a Citabria (I know nothing of the model numbers) before the kids started wanting to be fed on a regular basis and the planes went away.

Dad's long gone, but if he were here today he'd be drooling all over this one. Nice job, Jim!
