A new word

Physicality--my phonetic spelling
Straight from the mouth of a high school football coach. Actual meaning is still in question. Comment was made on a local TV interview in reference to prospective athletes' preparation for the upcoming football season.
The coach(?) is obviously 50# overweight so his hands on training would be more like yelling and flailing his short pudgy arms. This is just one of the reasons I have zero confidence in high school sports being a good thing.

I would say it's comparable to Mentality. A certain way physically. Your Physicality is particularly suitable for that. Someone seeing my motorcycle would imagine the Physicality necessary to operate it. 36"+inseam etc. People reading my bumper stickers might question my mentality. " Give me a minute I'm almost done with the horse you rode in on".

So in summary. You are bashing someone for using a real word, you thought was made up, because you never heard it before.

In doing so you chose to make fun of his physical appearance which had nothing whatsoever to do with the story.

My wife who’s English isn’t her first language is really good at making up words.

Too much traffic? It’s “trafficly.” She made up another word yesterday, but I can’t remember now what it was. We both laughed when she said it though.

I'm with you on "orientated". The one that grates on my last nerve is "anywho" or is it "anyhoo". Who knows?

To Mobuck's OP and high school sports, I don't like them either so much. My daughter started a new school today. But leading up to today, the school had a breakfast for the dads of new 9th graders. I went (shouldn't have, but that's another story.) Anyway, all the dad's I talked to only wanted to talk about the sports their kids did at their old school. I'm surprised they didn't tell me about the sport they played from when they were in high school.

My daughter doesn't play sports (thank goodness) and all the interactions I have had with her gym teachers have been pretty dismal to say the least. So I don't think much of high school sports or gym teachers. And yes, her last gym coach was overweight also.
