A while back I bought a five inch S&W 629-5 that looked like it was stuffed under the driver's seat of an F-150. Cosmetically it was a train wreck but functionally? I've own and have owned a slew of S&W's and this one is the tightest one I've owned AND it has the best trigger of them all... MIM or not!
Well I cleaned it up but the faint value engineered "laser" markings had suffered under that F-150 seat and I polished them out. It took a while to get it to a laser engraver but today he did it for me at the monthly West Palm Beach show. I'm happy I brought it. Before and after pics attached.
Oh, I passed on a single 9 in .22 mag for a pretty low price of $600 OTD.
