Have been reloading for over 50 years so I am not a novice, but have never reloaded for the 9mm could use some advice on what weight slugs to use, Thanks in advance.

These days it would be "whatever you can find". 115 or 124 FMJ are good choices for just shooting stuff. See what "Montana Gold Bullets" has on hand. I used to buy 124 HP from them by the case (3500 +/- if I remember correctly) and had good results.

I've used 124-125gr plated or powder coated bullets. Compared to revolver, auto pistol (9mm and .40 in particular) is high pressure in a small case volume; need to watch OAL and crimp.

It used to be that reloading 9mm was barely cost efficient. You could often buy plinking ammo for less than, or equal to, the cost of reloading. Today, not so much. I was surfing the web yesterday, and the only 9mm ammo that I could find (115 FMJ) ran $0.66 per round. If you can locate the components (or already have them), especially primers, go for it! I personally prefer 124 grain bullets for a variety of reasons.
