I've got a container of old and weird ammo in my supply..... I'd totally forgotten I had any of this.... I gave away all the tracer, but must have missed this one...
Was I ever that hard up for 22 ammo??
These shot shells were for my contender.... I don't think they make these any more... they must date from the mid 80's??
I even have about 100 rounds of M1 carbine ammo loaded with lead bullets... (not pictured).... not sure why or how I came up with that stuff.... maybe for the M1 carbine I had.. (I don't want to discuss it....)... or the carbine cartridge adapter I had for my 30/30 contender barrel....

That Russian Junior ammo was decent, and only $4/500 at J&G. I burned through a bunch of it in a 1022.

Every now and then someone mentions finding ammo. I just found three boxes of 45-70 in the back of a coat closet in the hallway. Yippee!

CCI still makes shotshell ammo in many calibers and probably will forever.

yep.... but these won't fit in a revolver... they are way to long.. I'd have to think these came with my contender when I bought it.... I no longer have the .44 barrel, so I can't check.... I haven't seen anything like these in a looonng time....

I have a bandolier of surplus .303British. When I bought it, it seemed so old. Now I realize it is twice as old now as when I bought it!

I was digging through a box looking for some 450/400 ammo and found 240 rounds of 348 factory ammo that I forgot buying. Lucky I bought a 348 not to long ago!

Contender had Shotgun barrels called Hotshot barrels with a choke to fix the pattern after the rifling made the pellets spin. Probably ammonia for one of those barrels.

Once they won the battle against the feds to make .410/45 barrels the hotshot barrels in .44 & .357 went away.

All that to say, I agree they are for a Contender,

I have an "orphan ammo" box too. Box and a half of reloaded 6mm Remington, 3 rounds PPU 8mm mauser, half a box 25-06, 30 rds 16 ga, half a box of .32 long. I have others but for these rounds, I have never owned a gun that would chamber them. I'll probably dump them in the "bullet bucket" at the Triple N range. Joe

Why is it interesting? You can buy new factory 16GA and 32 long.......not unusual at all.
